Wendell and Benny made me a Cherry solid wood #68 Singer Featherweight table. It is absolutely beautiful! I am very tall and Wendell made lifts on each leg so my table is taller than the average. He added these at no charge! It is seriously a beautiful work of art! I can’t say enough how wonderful the workmanship is on this table. The original Singer 68 table was plywood. B&Ds table is solid wood! If you are a Featherweight enthusiast this is the table for you!

I received my cabinet today. Husband had no problems putting it together and was impressed with the workmanship. I think it is perfect for my featherweight. Worth every penny!! I was not expecting the added goodies and the inscription but I was more than pleasantly surprised and pleased with them.

OMG! Better than Christmas! The craftsmanship is exquisite! Fun also to open the little gift box of the miniature model sewing machine and the tools and wood glue sent along were perfect. After receiving, unboxing and assembling my walnut cabinet I am impressed beyond belief. I actually enjoyed the assembly process because the customer service has been amazing with excellent communications every step of the way (including pics of final product before shipping). Wendell even reached out about the woodgrain for the cabinet top. Wendell cares about each customer and he made sure I was getting my dream cabinet in every detail. Craftsmanship like this is hard to find and I will cherish this beautiful example of woodwork and pass it, and my Featherweight, to my daughter with pride.

just received my featherweight cabinet and was blown away. the craftsmanship and attention to detail and perfection cannot be duplicated i’m sure. the finish is total perfection. do not let the price deter you in any way it is worth every penny and then some. we considered ordering the unfinished version and decided to pay the extra for the finished piece and are NOT disappointed that we did. Good luck finding an original model 68 and the cost would probably be more, if a 68 is what you are looking for Wendell’s cabinet will leave you speechless…

I cannot tell you how grateful I am to Wendall. I found a FW table that needed to be refurbished and was missing the metal insert parts to actually hold my FW. I reached out to him to see if he could make me those wooden parts and he did!! They fit perfectly! The three parts arrived and included excellent directions and pictures so I would know exactly how to screw them into my wooden framed FW table. I could not be more happy with his customer service, excellent communication and willing to make this new product for me- otherwise I would not be able to use my FW inside my table. So happy!

I received my cabinet, and it is beautiful. My red featherweight, aka Miss Rosie, fits beautifully, and looks amazing in her new home. I couldn’t be happier.

These are amazing craftsmanship. Wendell will work with you for the perfect stain. My latest is Mahoney wood and a beautiful design on the door. I would never hesitate to recommend him to any of my friends. So glad we found him.

I already own one of the original Featherweight Model 68 cabinets. Not many of them to be found. I can honestly say that my new one is much better built than it is. Although the antique cabinet is maple finish, I really like the new one in natural maple with a Salem maple top because it is unique. There will never be another just like it. What a pleasure it is to be able to put my candy apple red featherweight (restored from 1935) in it. Makes a striking display. I was born in 1933 the same year the first featherweight was made. We were both built to last! Still sewing at 87, and what a life it has been.

Love this cabinet. Have been thinking about ordering it for several years now, but we have been downsizing dramatically and I was unsure I could make it work with the available space. It is perfect. Wendell’s attention to detail is what immediately comes to the forefront. Now, my Featherweight is up and ready instead of in the case, and every time I walk by it I’m motivated to sew, even if I only have a few minutes. Thank you, Wendell.

We bought Wendell’s plans as my husband wanted to make one of these tables as a gift for me since it was unlikely that I would ever find an affordable one to buy. He had several different woods for me to choose from (maple was the choice) and then got started on the project. Well, the table turned out great! There are multiple pages of directions and drawings which are complete and easy to follow. This all happened several years ago. My husband called it a prototype with hopes of making another … and now he is. Yep, another featherweight table is in my near future. This time he is using cherry. If you happen to have woodworking skills and tools (or someone who loves you does), the plans are worth every penny spent. You cannot go wrong buying them from Wendell.

I have thought about ordering a cabinet from this man for a few years. I grew up with one in my house and it went missing once my mother went to a nursing home at a young age (53).

I grew up sewing on her featherweight and still love sewing on it so many years later. I am now 64 myself.

So, after thinking about it for too long, and aimlessly looking in antique stores, I finally decided to order from Wendell. What a great decision!

The cabinet is absolutely perfect. Beautiful…exactly like the original. Except it is new.

It arrives at your house with very little required to finish putting it together. And with amazing directions….step-by-step…color pictures included.

You only have to do a couple of simple steps and he even includes wood glue and screwdrivers to help you do that. He even included a little flashlight to help you see what you are doing. Amazing!l

Wendell clearly has a gift for woodworking and my new cabinet is absolutely gorgeous. The finish is pure perfection. Wendell packages cabinets so well that UPS would have to run over the box with a truck to cause damage.

I knew glue would be included and expected the smallest bottle available but received a 4 oz bottle of Elmers wood glue. Screws were included for the small amount of assembly required AND a set of two small screwdrivers.

Wendell is quite obviously a perfectionist and detail oriented person. I highly recommend him for your Featherweight cabinet needs.
